Canvas Create External Tool In Course

• urlstring
  The URL to match links against. Either 'url' or 'domain' should be set, not both.
• namestring
  The name of the external tool. This parameter overrides the tool name provided in XML configuration if config_type is set.
• textstring
  The default text to show for this tool.
• domainstring
  The domain to match links against (without protocol/port). Either 'url' or 'domain' should be set, not both.
• icon_urlstring
  The URL of the icon to show for this tool.
• client_idstring
  The client ID attached to the developer key. If supplied, all other parameters are unnecessary and will be ignored. Canvas will attempt to create a context external tool using the LTI 1.3 standard.
• course_idstring

  Required
  The unique identifier of the course where the external tool will be created.
• config_urlstring
  URL where the server can retrieve an XML tool configuration. Required if config_type is 'by_url'.
• config_xmlstring
  XML tool configuration, as specified in the Common Cartridge XML specification. Required if config_type is 'by_xml'.
• config_typestring
  Configuration type for external tool.
• descriptionstring
  A description of the tool.
• consumer_keystring
  The consumer key for the external tool (OAuth 1.0).
